The conditions in Telluride are perfect. One of highest amounts of snowfall in December on record has led to a 72" mid-mountain base. The snowy December was followed by an early January storm that dumped over 4 feet of snow in 3 days. There is nothing quite like floating through waist deep powder in the open glades of Andy's Gold in front of the backdrop of Palmyra Peak. The skiing this winter is excellent.

Besides the skiing there are many winter events to look forward to; The Telluride Winter SnowFest, The Ouray Ice Climbing Festival, Smartwool Race Series, Comedy Fest, and the Butch Cassidy Ski Chase just to name a few.
