Greetings form Telluride,
The Telluride Real Estate Market has picked up dramatically over the last two weeks. By no means am I calling a bottom on the market, but I can say that the best deals are being contracted. The amount of showings has increased as well. There are multiple short sales and foreclosure properties and the ones worth buying are being chased. One property received three offers from different buyers; it contract for about 14% higher than anticipated.
Some segments of the market hold higher inventory numbers than others. Some segments are picking up traction while others I still foresee more price decreases.
Those of you that plan on doing a lot of skiing this year should get your season pass before October 30th. Telski has a promotion that if you get four people your pass will cost $998 each. After October 30th it will cost $1,850 each. More terrain is being added this year, so let it snow.
I have also added an air map showing flights into Montrose and Telluride. The Telluride Airport will open in November, but there are rumors circulating that it may open earlier than expected.
If you are thinking of getting into the Telluride real estate market, then some of these deals should be looked at very closely and acted upon if they suit your needs. Certainly there will be some more price reductions on some properties, but some of the current deals will just not get any better. As always, I encourage any questions or thoughts.
Sincerely,
RICK FUSTING
